Hello November!
As October ends and November begins I certainly do not have to tell you we are heading into the holidays.  My November starts with a trip to Houston for a big quilt show.  Then there are the family birthdays: a son, a daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, my mother, my mother-in-law and a special centennial birthday for Lee’s Aunt Lil.  The birthdays alone can keep me busy but oh, no!  I am also working the election and participating in a two art show and getting ready for Vintage in Verdi and of course, there are the parties, events, an14882158_2147434902149032_8101149171942171724_od classes at Artrageous!

WHEW!  Having to catch my breath just thinking about it.

With some jiggling and juggling I have scheduled as many private parties as last month and still had two weekends with family.  Hope your Thanksgiving holidays are special.

Hope to see you soon.

Thanksgiving Blessings
There is nothing I enjoy more than being with my family.  Yes, even more than painting but painting with my family….that would top it!This family loves the outdoors and most holidays we end up outside playing, chalk painting the driveway or ….our favorite….taking the afternoon nature walk.  The grandchildren love each other.  The little boys hang all over the big boys and the big boys don’t complain.  The bigger girls seek out the baby and carry him everywhere.  The mothers chat in the kitchen and the guys are in front of a football game.

We are pretty typical, probably more like you than not.

This Thanksgiving hug those you love, sit on the floor and play with the little ones, listen to the stories the senior members tell…even when you have heard it before, wash dishes with the kitchen crew…enjoy the simple pleasure of family. Never again will you have this day.

Blessings to You!

 Dare to be Artrageous!

Our ladies who have taken the Tuffet Time Workshop are in love with their tuffets!  Most are making it again, have made it again or plan to make it again.  It has been given as gifts to grandchildren, taken over by their husbands, grandchildren or dogs!

And a Tuffet from a furry rug from Walmart….the kids love this funky Tuffet.

imagejpeg_0_6_1An hour after taking her Tuffet home from the workshop I received this image from Terry.  Terry thought her granddaughter would love this Tuffet completed using Minky, a minky-soft plush fabric used in baby products often but her dog had other plans.  He claimed it as soon as she set it down!  Smart puppy!
